The financial crisis has emphasised the importance of insurance as a risk management tool in large scale construction projects. Contractors All Risks Policies, which are purchased as part of such construction projects, have been examined by the Courts in many jurisdictions in determining what loss and damage incurred in the life of a project is, and is not, covered by these policies.
