We were delighted to host the 2026 edition of the Annual Construction Law Update which offered a comprehensive overview of the key developments in construction law across both Singapore and UK over the past year. Chaired by Joanna Seetoh, the session featured invaluable insights from our brilliant speakers, Chen Han Toh and Adrian Hughes KC, who ably guided our attendees through the complexities of recent case law with acuity and clarity.

This year’s edition focused on reviewing the significant decisions from Singapore and England which are relevant to Singapore’s construction practice. Chen Han Toh covered three important local construction cases and offered keen insights on the judicial trends which are actively shaping the development of construction law in Singapore. Not only did Adrian Hughes KC provide a construction law round up from the UK, he shared personal perspectives on the practical issues he encountered as an arbitrator presiding over construction disputes.

The attendees and our speakers engaged in a vibrant discussion during the Q&A section, sharing real-life experiences relating to the practical and specific challenges they faced in the ever-evolving construction landscape.
