SCL(S) Annual General Meeting 2026 & SCL(S) 15th Annual Dinner 2026 (26 August 2026)
The AGM provided an opportunity to reflect on the Society's activities over the past year and look ahead to the year to come. Outgoing Chairman, Trevor Lam, reflected on a landmark year for SCL Singapore. Highlights included the publication of the SCL Singapore Protocol for the Use of Experts' Joint Statements in Arbitration, the Society's first-ever published protocol, which has already attracted positive attention from practitioners and academics across the region.
This year also saw strong representation at the 11th SCL International Conference in Seoul and a rich programme of professional development events. Trevor extended his heartfelt thanks to the outgoing Council, the Secretariat team, and all members for their tremendous support throughout his two-year term.
We are pleased to announce the election of the incoming Office Bearers and Council Members for 2026–2028, and we warmly welcome them as they take the helm.

The incoming Council Chairman, Joanna Seetoh, expressed warm thanks to the outgoing Council and to all SCL Singapore members for their continued support and enthusiasm.
The AGM was followed by our 15th Annual Dinner at Plume at Singapore Flyer. It was an enjoyable evening of conversation and good food with the spectacular Marina Bay skyline providing a fitting backdrop.
A particular highlight was our after-dinner address by Anneliese Day KC, who spoke on “Construction Disputes in the Fourth Industrial Revolution”. An entertaining and thought-provoking look at the impact of AI and emerging technologies on construction disputes – and, perhaps most reassuringly for those of us in the profession, a vote of confidence that the bots won’t have our lunch (yet).
It was especially encouraging to see so many familiar faces alongside new members and guests. The evening was a great reminder of the strength and collegiality of Singapore’s construction law community, and of the value of bringing people from across the industry together.
