Membership

1. We confirm that we will nominate and maintain a minimum of three (3) nominees being representatives of the business in respect of our Business Membership.
2. We agree that Business Membership affords each nominee the same rights and benefits as for individual members save that no nominee shall be an Office Bearer or a Council Member or an Honorary Auditor.
3. We confirm that the contact person submitting this renewal is authorised  to apply for membership of SCL (Singapore) on behalf of our business/company/organisation for the current calendar year ending December 31.
4. We confirm that our nominated contact person will be responsible for updating the details of our business membership (including the business contact details as well as the nominee details) as well as coordinating with SCL (Singapore) all aspects of our Business membership including matters relating to renewals and payments.
5. We understand that it is our responsibility to ensure that the details of our contact person and nominees are kept accurate and updated.
6. We declare that the information we are providing in support of this application is true and correct.
7. We declare that the work of our business/company/organisation either directly or indirectly is connected with the construction industry and the law relating to it and we have a serious and active interest in construction law.
8. We undertake to abide by the Constitution of the Society (and any alteration or amendment to it) and to comply with such rules made under it.
9. We understand that the annual renewal fee shall be S$1,450.00 for a Business Member which will entitle the Business Member to nominate three (3) nominees. The Business Member shall pay S$150.00 per year for each additional nominee.

10. We understand that we may change our nominees only upon: 
    a)   submission of a formal application; 
    b)   payment of an administration fee of S$80.00 for each such change; and 
    c)   approval by or on behalf of Council of each such change.
11. We undertake to make payment of the relevant Business Membership Annual Fee and Annual Nominee Fees within 2 weeks of this renewal.
12. We understand that our renewal will only be processed upon receipt by SCL (Singapore) of all payments due.
13. We understand that the SCL (Singapore) compiles a publicly available Business Member List based on information we provide (i.e. business name and business profile) and that we are responsible for the accuracy of the information we provide.  We agree that SCL (Singapore), its Council and the Secretariat shall not be responsible for any errors or omissions in the Business Members List. SCL (Singapore) reserves the right to edit or remove any information in the Business Members List which, at its absolute discretion, it views as erroneous, misleading or inaccurate in any respect. The information contained in the Business Members List should not be construed as an endorsement of any member, company, or individual.
14. We fully consent to the collection, use and disclosure of all and any personal data that we provide, including that of our nominees and/or as appears in the online form, document or electronic template, by SCL (Singapore) for the purposes set out in our Personal Data Policy which is accessible in the link below.
